DeanHouston, a business-first marketing firm that excels at creating meaningful communication strategies for technical products and services companies, today announced that Cody Winesett has joined the company as a Senior UX/UI Designer.
Cody brings 10+ years of UX and product design experience, including four years in leadership roles supporting major enterprise clients. Before joining DeanHouston, he served as a Lead Designer at Revel Consulting, where he guided a team of 15+ designers in developing a unified design system for Microsoft.com. He also led data visualization initiatives for FedEx Dataworks, designing intuitive dashboards that improved decision-making efficiency by 18%.
In his role as Senior UX/UI Designer, Cody will help elevate our digital work across clients and industries. His responsibilities include:
- Concepting, designing and prototyping UX/UI experiences in Figma – from initial wireframes to final, scalable interfaces and design systems.
- Ensuring all design aligns with WordPress structures, responsive development best practices and component-based architecture.
- Collaborating closely with developers for clear, efficient and technically sound design handoffs.
- Leveraging user research, journey mapping, and usability insights to enhance and optimize design solutions.
- Building and maintaining component libraries while upholding client brand standards.
- Applying WCAG accessibility guidelines and responsive design principles to ensure inclusive, seamless user experiences.
- Partnering with Strategy, SEO and Content teams to align UX decisions with performance and conversion goals.
- Utilizing analytics, user data, and A/B testing learnings to continuously refine user flows and visual hierarchies.
- Exploring and integrating AI-assisted design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, LLMs, etc.) to elevate efficiency and innovation.
- Creating motion graphics to enhance digital storytelling and interaction.
Cody holds an AAS in Digital Media from the University of Cincinnati. After several years in Seattle, Cody recently returned to Cincinnati. Outside of designing, he loves traveling, discovering new experiences, catching great live music, and spending time with his partner and their dog, Nugget.
