Melissa brings more than eight years of experience creating engaging, user-friendly digital experiences, with a background that crosses front-end development, design and UX. That mix has given her the ability to view a website from multiple perspectives — understanding not only how it needs to function, but how thoughtful design, intuitive interactions and clean development come together to create a better experience for the people using it.

Before joining DeanHouston, Melissa spent nearly five years as a Web Developer at Wiley X, where she served as the primary front-end developer supporting the company’s Shopify Plus B2B and B2C ecommerce experiences. She developed scalable components and templates, collaborated across engineering, marketing, merchandising and UX teams, and contributed to ecommerce growth initiatives that helped increase revenue from approximately $2.1 million to more than $6.2 million.
When she steps away from the screen, Melissa is a horror movie and video game fan who also enjoys getting outside for a good hike with her dog, Bijou.
